Houlihan/Lawrence Opens New Education Center
Houlihan/Lawrence Inc., Westchester, New York’s largest residential real estate company, has opened a new state-of-the-art training and education center in Hartsdale. The new 2,000 square-foot facility consists of two classrooms and a library, providing training for all new agents, along with ongoing education programs for all of the company’s agents.
The new center, which replaces the smaller training facility at the company’s Relocation Department in its Armonk office, is being headed by Maggie Reid, education director for Houlihan/Lawrence.
The new center operates five days a week, and can accommodate class sizes of up to 30 people. Classes for agents new to the real estate business include training concerning such matters as listing and selling skills, legal aspects of agency relationships, as well as computer training.
All computers are linked to the Houlihan/Lawrence network and are equipped with a high-speed connection to the Internet and the Multiple Listing Service. New agents have available to them 80 hours of training. In addition, the training center offers a library of video and audiotapes, featuring sales training experts in the real estate industry.
