National Concierge Association honors Coldwell Banker for its popular Concierge program.
RISMEDIA, July 3?Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation today announced that it has been selected by the National Concierge Association (NCA), as the only national residential real estate program to receive its prestigious membership affiliation for its Coldwell Banker Concierge program.
The NCA is a non-profit international organization, which supports the corporate and personal concierge industry. NCA members include prominent companies such as the Peabody Hotels and Sheraton Hotels as well as independent concierge services.
In 1998, Coldwell Banker established the first national Concierge Program in the real estate industry and is now the first real estate brokerage company to be accredited by the NCA. The Coldwell Banker Concierge program in effect turns real estate offices into one-stop shops that help homeowners arrange everything from financing and coordinating utility services, to home improvement, moving arrangements, and renovation. The Coldwell Banker Concierge program was designed so that the service could be provided before, during and even long after the sale, creating customers for life.
“The term ‘Concierge’ initially referred to those who provided special services for guests staying at a hotel,” says Sara-ann G. Kasner, president, National Concierge Association. “Today, there are concierge professionals taking care of special needs in all sectors including corporate, entertainment and residential services. We are selective about the alliances we enter, and are pleased to work with Coldwell Banker.”
“People buying or selling a home have a great deal to manage,” says Alex
Perriello, president and chief operating officer, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation. “People relocate an average of seven to ten times in their lifetime and 80 percent of homeowners make most home improvements within their first year of moving. For every dollar spent on home purchases, another $.20-.40 is spent on items such as furnishings and landscaping. Prior to 1998, when we started our program, real estate offices hadn’t formally provided a way to help buyers and sellers with all the research and/or coordination of these homeownership services. We created Coldwell Banker Concierge because we also realized that these services would add value to the service experience and create customers for life.”
The cornerstone of the NCA is offering world-class networking opportunities and setting standards of excellence within all service industries, including residential real estate. The NCA mission revolves around networking, educational opportunities and promotion of the concierge industry. Over 200 Coldwell Banker affiliate offices throughout the country are eligible to become NCA members and will have opportunities to participate in all NCA sponsored educational programs including the NCA Certification Program and the Annual NCA Conference.
To date, more than 80 percent of Coldwell Banker affiliates offer some form of concierge services. Over 38,000 vendors participate in the exclusive program, covering 240 service categories and serving over 106,000 consumers yearly.
