RE/MAX Launches Luxury Site

RISMEDIA, July 15 – RE/MAX Renowned Properties, a new program featuring high-end and luxury properties can now be viewed on the Internet at www.remax.com by clicking on “Home Buyers/Sellers” then selecting the Search for Properties link.

“The sole purpose of the program is to distinguish listings that meet certain criteria in the luxury market,” says Diane Metz, RE/MAX senior vice president of external operations. “RE/MAX members who deal with these unique properties as well as their clients should be pleased with this new addition to the program. It provides worldwide exposure of these properties in a manner suited to their unique qualities.”

To qualify as a RE/MAX Renowned Property, the listed price must be three times the average sale price of properties the local Multiple Listing Service, or a minimum of $500,000.

In approximately 30 cities, the minimum is $750,000 due to property values in those marketplaces.

As of June 1, 2002 there were over 11,000 RE/MAX listings in the United States priced between $500,000 and $750,000 and 8,800 listings priced above $750,000.

Through the relationship between RE/MAX and Realtor.com, these properties are automatically identified as RE/MAX Renowned Properties when posted to Realtor.com, which powers the www.remax.com Web site.
