RISMEDIA, July 26 - The Council of Residential Specialist joins the Hawaii Association of Realtors as one of two primary sponsors of the Pacific Rim Real Estate Conference to be held Sept. 5-6, 2002, in Honolulu.

The educational conference aims to bring together Realtors in Hawaii with those from the mainland United States, Mexico, Canada and China. Real estate agents can attend the educational sessions focused on expanding agents’ referral networks globally and setting new standards for productivity.

Highlights of the educational sessions include:

? Leading U.S. economist John Tucillo discussing globalization in the new economy

? Steve Oniki focusing on people skills that set real estate agents apart

? CRS President Walter J. Frey, CRS, identifying customers for life

? CRS Senior Instructor Robert Morris, CRS, illustrating how to navigate the Internet effectively for survival and profit

? Coldwell Banker executive Allan Dalton discussing how professionalism is changing in real estate

“As the world becomes a smaller place through technology, real estate agents can benefit from making global connections,” Frey says. “The Pacific Rim Real Estate Conference is gathering key real estate agents to show them how to expand their businesses internationally.”

In addition to the educational sessions, the estimated 1,000 participants can attend the Real Estate Showcase where organizations such as the Council of Residential Specialists, Bank of Hawaii, American Savings Bank, North American Mortgage, Charter Funding, Countrywide Home Loans, Pocket Real Estate and many more will demonstrate their latest products and services.

“This is an opportunity for real estate agents to think outside their markets,” says Marsha Shimizu, director of programs, products and services for the Hawaii Association of Realtors. “One real estate agent in Hawaii has expanded her office to include one in China. There’s so much potential for international real estate.”
