RISMEDIA, Sept. 18 — The Suddath Companies, a leading provider of global relocation and transportation-related services, has appointed James G. Barnett to corporate treasurer and chief financial officer.

Barnett began his career with Suddath in 1974 in the accounting department. He was promoted to assistant controller in 1975 and, most recently, held the position of senior vice president and controller since 1979.

Barnett graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in accounting and also has achieved his CPA certification. He has served on many industry advisory boards and currently serves on United Van Lines’ Technology Review Committee. Barnett and his wife Terry are long time residents of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
