Coldwell Banker Walter Williams? referral agents tour keys sites just as newcomers would
RISMEDIA, August 27-Coldwell Banker Walter Williams Corporate/Relocation Services Vice President Sharon Juhasz believes that experience is the best teacher. Consequently, she has literally taken the training of the company?s qualified referral agents from the classroom to the streets. Her tenet of education is: agents who have experienced the First Coast first-hand will be more effective in selling the First Coast area to their clients and customers.
Since Jacksonville, Florida, will be the host city to 2005?s Super Bowl, Juhasz chose ALLTEL Stadium as the first destination. ?Jacksonville is going to be the focus of attention in just 16 short months and Alltell Stadium will be at the center of it all,? said Juhasz. The training took place on June 25, the day before the demolition of the Coliseum and the day of the disaster training conducted by the city of Jacksonville. This gave agents first hand experience in traffic control around the stadium due to roadblocks, barricades, security personnel and fire/rescue equipment.
While touring the stadium, the agents were able to experience the luxury of the West Touchdown Club and see the renovations that are taking place. ?We were very fortunate to be able to see and hear about the improvements the city is making that will upgrade Alltell for the Jaguars, the fans and the Super Bowl guests,? said Juhasz.
Following the tour and training, the group experienced the new Jacksonville Baseball Grounds, where they enjoyed lunch and an afternoon game between the Suns and the Orlando Rays.
The second training experience took place on July 23 when 40 Coldwell Banker Walter Williams agents from Jacksonville, Orange Park, Ponte Vedra and Palm Coast boarded the Sightseeing Tour Train in St. Augustine. ?This was a great experience for many of our agents who had never taken advantage of St. Augustine and knew very little about it,? said Juhasz. ?As St. Johns County continues to develop, it?s immensely important for our agents to be able to speak about St. Augustine as one of the area?s amenities.? Agents noted that they had acquired useful information about the city and an intimate feel for the history and beauty of St. Augustine. Following the train ride that took them through the ancient streets and historic landmarks, the group enjoyed their lesson and lunch at the Columbia Restaurant.
After two experience training sessions, the response from the agents has been overwhelmingly positive. ?It?s a great way to familiarize us with the area and experience the city as relocating families do when they first arrive,? said Rita Fincher, Coldwell Banker Walter Williams agent at the Ponte Vedra /Beaches office. Juhasz plans to offer this free training to the qualified agents at other First Coast venues throughout the year.
