John L. Scott employees volunteered their time answering phones and taking pledges during telethon
RISMEDIA, June 30-John L. Scott Real Estate recently presented a check for $25,000 to Seattle Children?s Hospital and Regional Medical Center during KOMO 4?s ?Miracle Makers? on June 12.
A record, $ 7.2 million was raised during the live broadcast. In its 20th anniversary, this was the largest amount raised in the history of the broadcast. Proceeds benefit the hospital?s financial assistance program, which guarantees that no child is turned away, regardless of the family?s ability to pay.
Twenty John L. Scott employees volunteered their time answering phones and taking pledges during the telethon. Laura Ballman, vice president of the John L. Scott Foundation, presented Children?s Hospital with the $25,000 donation on behalf of John L. Scott Real Estate?s 3,700 sales associates and staff.
J. Lennox Scott, chairman and CEO of John L. Scott Real Estate and chairperson of the John L. Scott Foundation, says that he and his agents are dedicated to the cause of children?s health care. ?There is no greater way to give back to the community than to serve the needs of children and families,? said Scott. ?Children?s Hospital offers outstanding services and support for the children in this area; it?s an honor to be part of their essential healthcare efforts.?
