More than 4,500 ERC members currently hold the SCRP or CRP designation
RISMEDIA, June 30-A total of 513 CRP designees have reached the five- or 10-year landmark in holding the Certified Relocation Professional designation, according to Worldwide ERC.
To commemorate these anniversaries, ERC is sending CRP anniversary lapel pins to each honoree. The CRP program was established in 1990 to test and recognize candidates’ knowledge of relocation appraising, relocation-related real estate, corporate relocation policies and issues, relocation tax and legal issues, and family relocation issues.
More than 4,500 ERC members currently hold the SCRP? or CRP? designation.
Provided they maintain their ERC membership, Certified Relocation Professionals retain their designation by earning 30 recertification credits within each three-year period following their initial certification. Those who hold the CRP and also earn ERC?s Distinguished Service Award are elevated to Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP?) status.
Rob Johnson, SCRP, with AmeriCorp Global Relocation, and chairman of the 2004 Certification Review Board, said of the honorees, “The CRP designation represents substantial commitment in attaining knowledge and subject matter expertise in our industry. Those who maintain the designation for a substantial period of time prove their dedication to their own continued professional development and to raising the bar on professionalism and industrywide standards of knowledge.”
Of those being honored for their longevity in the program, 341 CRPs and 1 SCRP have achieved five-year anniversaries. One hundred sixty-one CRPs and 10 SCRPs have achieved their 10-year anniversaries. For a complete list of the five- and 10-year recipients, please visit ERC?s website at http://www.erc.org/PERC_USA/crp_longterm.shtml. Additional information on the CRP? program and how to earn recertification credits also is available on ERC’s Web site at http://www.erc.org/PERC_USA/CRP_Designation_Ctr.shtml
