Lisa Minshall, marketing manager of Freddie Mac gets award
RISMEDIA, July 22-CampusMBA, the educational arm of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), has presented Lisa Minshall, marketing manager of Freddie Mac, McLean, Va., with the Willis Bryant Award.

For the last six years, Minshall has served as the marketing manager for Freddie Mac. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications and organizational behaviorism from the University of Texas at Arlington, and has more than 15 years experience in several aspects of corporate sales, marketing and communication. In August, Lori will be joining the Loan Prospector Sales Department in Freddie Mac’s corporate office in McLean, Va.

Minshall was presented the award on June 29, 2004 after completing Freddie Mac’s Sales Success Program (SSP). Freddie Mac’s SSP is the first educational program in the mortgage industry that combines sales, as well as primary and secondary market training. Freddie Mac’s program included 167 learning hours and CampusMBA cornerstone programs such as School of Mortgage Banking Courses (SOMB) I, II, and III.

The Willis Bryant Award represents outstanding academic achievement in the three courses of CampusMBA’s SOMB and is awarded to the top student at each offering of SOMB Course III. To qualify, the student must achieve a grade of “excellent” on all SOMB exams and must demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities in both the classroom and through interaction with other students.

“Minshall’s exceptional performance during SOMB courses was outstanding and Willis Bryant would be proud of her,” said Dan Thoms, MBA’s vice president of education and business development. “CampusMBA is privileged to honor her with this prestigious award.”

The award was established in the name of Willis R. Bryant following his death in 1965. Bryant, a mortgage banking pioneer of the 1950s, was a former lecturer at SOMB who authored Mortgage Lending Fundamentals and Practices, a former SOMB textbook.
