Howard Hanna Real Estate Services announced that its 2004 fundraising efforts for the Children?s Free Care Fund raised a staggering $591,002 ? surpassing the company?s goal of $400,000 by 48%. The presentation was made to the seven participating hospitals at the company?s annual awards extravaganza held March 11, 2005, in Cleveland.
?We are extremely grateful for Howard Hanna?s generosity,? said Ron Violi, president and CEO of Children?s Hospital of Pittsburgh. ?The hard work and dedication of their employees continues to impress and humble us. We thank them for their donation that benefits the children and families in our region.?
Donations were also made through the Children?s Free Care Fund to Tod Children?s Hospital in Youngstown, Hamot Hospital in Erie, Rainbow Babies? and Children?s Hospital in Cleveland, Akron Children?s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Children?s Hospital, and Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg. The Children?s Free Care Fund exists to help children without health care pay for their medical treatment so that no child, regardless of financial status, will go without the top medical treatment available in the world today.
Howard Hanna has raised more than $3.1 million for the Children?s Free Care Fund through annual holiday luncheons hosted by the company?s real estate branch offices since they began their campaign in 1989.
