CAR Leader to Speak at Leadership Conference

RISMEDIA, August 15 ? Joel Singer, executive vice president of the California Association of Realtors, will be one of the nation?s top real estate leaders taking part in the opening session of RISMedia?s 16th annual Leadership Conference in New York. The conference will be held Sept. 28-29 at the historic Roosevelt Hotel.

Singer has been a top leader in California real estate since November 1989 after being CAR?s chief economist and leading its public affairs department. As head of the CAR research department, Singer established CAR?s reputation for economic forecasting, industry research and leading-edge technology studies.

In both his previous and current roles, Singer has been heavily involved in CAR?s legislative activities and has a long-standing interest in affordable housing and tort reform. In 2003, he established CAR?s Housing Affordability Fund, which has raised more than $2.3 million since its inception. Throughout his tenure, Singer has been on numerous government and private sector commissions and boards. He currently represents CAR on the Executive Committee of the Civil Justice Association of California.
