Relationship with major Web and TV programmers brings multimedia content to www.coldwellbanker.com
RISMEDIA, April 7, 2006?Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation has launched streaming video on its award-winning www.coldwellbanker.com Web site, designed to assist the consumer with all facets of the real estate buying and selling processes. The Web site is the first from any national, full-service real estate company to feature such content.

Along with producing its own videos, the Coldwell Banker? organization has developed content agreements with several media outlets with which it has established advertising relationships, including Forbes, HGTV and Fine Living.

“With the increasing number of Web sites utilizing broadband, we felt the time was right to launch streaming video,” said Charlie Young, senior vice president of marketing for Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation. “The content is intended to provide consumers with assistance in buying and selling homes and understanding the real estate process, and will be refreshed on a regular rotation.”

Young’s idea to marry the brand’s television advertising with the power of the Internet played a key role in the streaming video initiative. Two new Coldwell Banker 15-second TV commercials encourage consumers to visit www.coldwellbanker.com to learn the “four questions you should ask any Realtor?.” Upon visiting the Web site, the consumer is greeted with a three-minute extension of the commercial that helps them choose a sales associate.

This is one of nine video segments in the “video library” currently available in the “Learn” section of www.coldwellbanker.com. Other topics include:

” Comparing markets: What $800,000 buys (Fine Living)

” Is there value in a bathroom update (Fine Living)

” Purchasing international real estate (Forbes)

” Transform a home for an open house (HGTV)

” 2006: Trends in New Luxury Homes (Forbes)

The online segments are created by The FeedRoom, the New York-based broadband video communications firm that powers online video solutions for major corporations and media companies, in conjunction with Kinesis Marketing, the Coldwell Banker? online marketing agency of record.

“Every day, companies are looking for new ways to reach the consumer. With the explosive growth of broadband, companies have realized that they can expand their audience – and the consumer experience – with an online video presence,” said Bart Feder, president and CEO of The FeedRoom. “The Coldwell Banker innovative model allows customers to essentially continue the TV commercial online. There, they can learn more not just about the brand but about the real estate process without any time constraints.”
