Real estate agents will learn how to put online technology to their advantage via free HouseValues-sponsored event
RISMEDIA, April 10, 2006?The numbers tell the story of an incredible opportunity for real estate agents: 77 percent of Americans looking for homes use the Internet, yet agents spend just 11 percent of their marketing dollars online in pursuit of these tech-savvy buyers and sellers.

In an effort to help agents capture a larger share of online business, HouseValues (NASDAQ: SOLD) is offering a free Webinar to help agents better connect with the millions of potential customers using the Internet to search for and to sell homes.

The Webinar will also feature Donna Harris, a Dallas-area real estate agent, who will share her secrets of how she?s built her business, the majority of which comes from online leads.

The Webinar, ?How To Win Over Internet-Savvy Home Buyers and Sellers,? will take place at 11 a.m. PT Tuesday, April 11, and will last for one hour. Agents can register at www.freehousevalueswebinar.com.

Hosting the event will be HouseValues real estate educators Bruce Downs and Lauren Huber, who will share proven ways to attract Internet-savvy home buyers and sellers and boost transactions this quarter.

The seminar will help agents:

- Discover the three core benefits of working with Internet consumers.

- Understand how and why Internet consumers are different from non-Internet consumers.

- Learn how to beat out competitors by shifting traditional advertising to Internet marketing.

- Tap into the best online sources to reach the greatest number of Internet-savvy consumers at the lowest cost.

- Learn to use Web capture, automated follow-up campaigns, and e-farm to consistently expand their pipelines, close more transactions, and generate referrals more often.

Donna Harris, an agent with RE/MAX HiNet-All Cities, will field questions from fellow agents as well as discuss tips and tactics that have helped her create a burgeoning real estate business, the majority of it online. Although Harris has been an agent for just six years, she manages a pipeline of nearly 1,500 clients and prospects.

Among other topics, she?ll discuss why price ranges are typically much higher with Internet leads, and the fact that Internet leads often are more educated than non-Internet leads?and how agents can capitalize on that.

In July of 2005, Richey-Harris had her best month on record: seven closings totaling $1,654,820 in sales volume. ?This was a major record month for me,” she said. “I made more income in this one month than I would make in an entire year at my corporate-world job.” In fact, she said, last year 58 percent of her transactions and 70 percent of her income came from the Internet.
