Both counties also chose more programs to further enhance automation
RISMEDIA, June 8, 2006?Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (NYSE:FIS) has announced that its Aptitude Solutions division, a leading provider of innovative technology solutions for county government automation, has been selected by the Brevard and Hillsborough County, Florida Clerk of Courts to provide OnCore(TM), its online real estate recording and workflow management system.
Both counties have also chosen to incorporate the company’s aiIndex, aiRedact and Tribute Tax Deed systems into OnCore to further enhance automation of the overall real estate deed recording process, increasing data accuracy and accessibility. With the addition of Brevard and Hillsborough counties, FIS handles the county government automation needs for more than a third of Florida counties.
Brevard and Hillsborough counties will use OnCore’s up-front scan technology to digitize the official record indexing and recording process, reducing internal paper flow and expediting the document recording process. Using OnCore, the counties will be able to enhance their service by providing the public with dynamic online search capabilities, allowing instantaneous access to recorded documents. OnCore’s Web interface will also facilitate up-to-the-minute searching and image viewing from home or office. In addition, with OnCore’s e-recording capability, both Hillsborough and Brevard counties will be able to accept land records recordings completely electronically.
“Our county is looking forward to implementing the OnCore recording system coupled with automated indexing,” said Brevard County Florida Clerk Scott Ellis. “Aptitude has proven to be the market leader in Florida and we are excited about working with such an innovative company.”
By combining OnCore with aiINDEX, Aptitude Solutions’ automated index offering, both counties will be able take advantage of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, allowing them to boost efficiency and productivity without increasing staff resources. The addition of the company’s automated redaction solution, aiREDACT, will also enable both counties to automatically redact personal information contained on their recorded images, protecting the privacy of their residents and ensuring compliance with Florida Statute 119.07.
Aptitude Solutions Executive Vice President Paul S. Miller explains, “Everyone at Aptitude is excited to have the opportunity to work with Brevard and Hillsborough Counties. In today’s challenging environment, counties must deliver high quality services and do so while improving efficiency and productivity. Implementing our recording solution, automated indexing and automated redaction solutions will help them achieve this goal.”
