RISMEDIA, August 14, 2006?The Wall Street Journal published the results of a study of more than 2,500 U.S. based franchise systems across all market segments and named United Country Real Estate to its coveted list of 2006 “Top 25 High Performers.”

Beginning with a list of more than 2,500 franchise brands in the United States including such well known brands as Pizza Hut, Keller Williams and Subway, the WSJ, compiled its Top 25 Franchise High Performers list based on a specified set of criteria.

The final list included the best performing franchise organizations that were found to be well established in their specified industries, deliver consistent superior growth in the number of franchisees, have strong financial stability and experience the lowest franchisee turnover rates, an indicator of the satisfaction of franchisees with their franchisor. These criteria and the complete Franchise High Performers list are detailed in the Wall Street Journal’s article, “The 25 Franchises That Made the Cut for Our List”, by Lauren Baier Kim.

“While it is nice to be recognized by the Wall Street Journal for excellence, we are most proud of the fact that our franchisees are thrilled with how we support them. Our ‘turnover rate’ is four times less than the average turnover rate of franchise systems overall. This is an important measure of how satisfied our franchisees are with the value of the United Country program and that it is working to help them meet their business and personal objectives,” said Dan Duffy, chief executive officer, United Country Real Estate.

Lou Francis, president, United Country Real Estate, added, “Our strong

family-centric culture and absolute commitment to helping our franchisees grow to realize their business goals are clearly paying off. We are deeply invested in serving our franchise partners, and it shows in our performance. Even more importantly, it shows in the performance of our franchisees who are outperforming the market in a dramatic fashion.”

United Country is the only national real estate franchise system specializing in residential, farm and ranch, commercial, retirement and second home, and recreational properties in non-urban towns and cities across America. It currently operates the leading real estate website in its market and a marketing program that attracts approximately 800,000 visitors a month.

United Country also reaches over 90 million homes a week through its national advertising of franchisee-listed properties in various local, regional and national print media outlets. With a heritage that dates back to 1925 and extensive franchise member services based out of Kansas City, Mo., the company supports more than 570 franchisees in 38 states and markets a national database of properties at www.unitedcountry.com.
