RISMEDIA, October 2, 2006?Nelson A. Locke announces the formation of the Association of Reverse Mortgage Specialists, Inc ? TM.

This special purpose non profit trade group was established to provide quick start basic training to mortgage brokers, financial planners, and others seeking to enter the rapidly growing reverse mortgage market.

Locke, past president of FAMB and a long time NRMLA and NAMB member noted, ?The Association has built a curriculum and designation that can enhance your chances of success in the reverse mortgage business. Originating reverse mortgages is not as easy as many think. You cannot simply drop your ?forward files? and become an effective reverse mortgage originator overnight. These products require special technical knowledge and a re-programming of your thinking regarding clients, programs, and motives.

The initial course includes eight hours of learning developed to equip a mortgage broker or financial planner to better identify candidates, evaluate their needs, and apply the correct reverse mortgage product to the senior’s unique situation. The copyrighted ?RMS? designation is earned when the work is completed. Completion of the course work includes a one year Association membership and a one year subscription to the association newsletter ?Senior Money Matters ??
