The honor is presented by the University of Connecticut Family Business Program, and William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services was one of over 1200 nominations. Several members of the Raveis family will be present at the Awards Celebration on November 16. The celebration will be held at the University of Connecticut’s Lewis B. Rome Ballroom on the Storrs campus with a reception beginning at 6 p.m. and dinner following. The keynote speaker at the event will be John C. Jack? Moore, 4th generation and former director at Benjamin Moore & Co.

The criteria for consideration as Family Business of the Year include business success, positive family and business linkage, multi-generational family involvement, contributions to community and industry, and innovative business practices or strategies. The awards ceremony draws over 300 business owners, industry professionals, academicians, and members of the press.
