Insurance rates are important factors when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle
RISMEDIA, November 9, 2006?A Buick Rendezvous, GMC Sierra 1500, Dodge Caravan, and Mercury Grand Marquis GS are among the 2007 model vehicles with the lowest cost to insure in the SUV, truck, van, and car categories, respectively, according to the latest analysis by Runzheimer International, the Wisconsin-based firm specializing in total employee mobility.
Several factors are involved in the makeup of vehicle insurance: factors such as the make of car, how often you drive the car, where you live, your age, gender, marital status, and your driving history. Runzheimer International took this one step further to identify the 2007 model vehicles with the lowest cost to insure based on cost to repair, how easily the vehicle is damaged, and statistically how often the vehicle is stolen.
“When purchasing a new vehicle, it’s important to discuss the vehicle?s insurance rates with your insurance provider and keep your driving record in mind,” states Dave Friedlen, Runzheimer’s Director of New Product Development, Business Vehicle Services. “Ultimately, you may decide to get that safe, no-frills family sedan instead of a racy little sports car to keep your insurance premiums more manageable.”
