Provocative speakers, interactive roundtables and mini-summits lead by professionals at HOME?X 2007 industry conference

RISMEDIA, December 7, 2006?HOME?X 2007 Homebuilder Summit & Expo is a dynamic, interactive forum that will challenge industry leaders to find strategies and tactics to address changing conditions in the housing market.

The two-day summit, to be held March 14-15, 2007, in Long Beach, California, will tap into the intellectual capital of housing industry leaders, real estate experts, economic forecasters and market analysts to provide answers and solutions to pressing issues created by the real estate slowdown. HOME?X 2007 participants will hear from industry leaders and experts, but they will also be heard themselves in a unique series of professionally facilitated brainstorming sessions that produce solid solutions.

Highlights of HOME?X 2007 include:

Opening night cocktail reception on the Expo floor

Invitation-only lunch and roundtable discussion with Harry S. Dent

?The Dirt and the Dough? luncheon for land developers and financiers featuring former HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros

An awards dinner and charitable silent/live auction

After Party at the Aquarium of the Pacific

A guided tour of outstanding residential home projects in Long Beach

The HOME?X 2007 Golf Tournament at El Dorado Park

Former HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros will take the stage for a riveting keynote address of the future of urban infill and mixed-use development. Cisneros is chairman of CityView, which works with the nation’s leading homebuilders to produce homes for working America, and will lead an afternoon panel on affordable housing and financing along with other experts in the field. Meet Cisneros one-on-one at “The Dirt and The Dough” Luncheon at The Madison, which will bring together land developers and financiers to make profitable and productive industry connections.

Economic forecaster, New York Times best-selling author and Fortune 100 consultant Harry S. Dent is nationally recognized for his uncannily accurate predictions, and at HOME?X 2007 he will make his call on where the American housing market is headed over the next 5-10 years. Dent stood virtually alone in predicting the recession of the early 90s, the “Great Boom” of the mid-90s and the free-for-all of 1998-2000 housing market. Now Dent is ready to present his theory on what the economy will do next based on the demographic trends, along with practical strategies on how homebuilders and land developers should respond. There will be opportunities for an exclusive roundtable lunch with Dent with limited seating, as well as an afternoon book signing event on the expo floor.

HOME?X 2007 aspires to be an industry think tank, rather than a standard trade show; the focus will be on big picture issues that will significantly affect homebuilders and land developers over the next several years. Based on a survey of homebuilding executives, interviews with industry experts and additional research, summit participants will delve into meaty issues including the economy, the mind of the consumer, sustainability and green building best practices, land acquisition and development, sales and marketing, delivering density, how to tap emerging markets and realistic options or incentives.

The HOME?X 2007 Expo will feature exhibitors from the residential building industry with spacious booths, ample networking time and opportunities to roll out new products before homebuilding?s key decision makers and dozens of trade publications and media outlets in a Southern California locale, one of the country?s largest consumer markets.

The expo floor will be a key networking venue for attendees and exhibitors alike, and the site of the opening night cocktail reception, summit attendee lunches and regular session breaks. Sponsors and exhibitors can check e-mail in the Wi-Fi Lounge, place news releases and press kits in the media center or make important announcements in HOME?X 2007′s dedicated press conference area.

In addition to stimulating speakers and provocative panels, the summit format provides time for intimate roundtable discussions, personal conversations with featured speakers and networking with colleagues. Participants will break out each afternoon into 10 mini-summits on hot-button industry issues. Professional facilitators will guide the lively discussions by asking the right questions, presenting fresh perspectives and helping shape solutions. This powerful problem solving process is widely used by Fortune 500 companies, and the facilitators at HOME?X 2007 have been trained by the world?s leading CEO development organization. Attendees who take part in these ?mini-summits??attendance will be limited?will leave feeling the experience was remarkable, memorable and easily distinguishable from any conference they have attended. The results will be recorded and compiled in a detailed report, which will be made available to all summit participants.
