Company hires Hispanic Network Coordinator to grow services in Bay Area’s Hispanic market

RISMEDIA, December 12, 2006?Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced its plan to launch Casa Coldwell Banker, a new program designed to offer home buying and selling resources to the region’s growing Hispanic community. The initiative will be spearheaded by a newly appointed Hispanic Network coordinator.

Hispanics are among the fastest growing segments of the United States population. According to the United States Census Bureau, Hispanics make up 13% of the United States population, second only to Caucasians. That number is expected to increase to 24% by 2050.

As a result of the growing needs of this important market segment, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has hired real estate and marketing veteran Sandy Ramirez to serve as the company?s Hispanic Network coordinator. Ramirez, who is bilingual and currently a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage?s Palo Alto office, will oversee the launch and execution of Casa Coldwell Banker.

?We’ve launched this initiative among our 31 offices throughout the Bay Area in an effort to offer maximum service to the thousands of residents in the Hispanic community,? said Ramirez. ?Our initiative is threefold and includes: creating a Hispanic Network of Spanish speaking agents; developing the appropriate marketing and business materials to communicate with our clients; and implementing client education programs focused on teaching the Hispanic community about home buying, selling and financing opportunities available.?

The company?s education efforts will launch with an upcoming buyer’s seminar entitled ?Compre su casa con confianza,? translated ?Buy your house with confidence.

In addition to the launch of Casa Coldwell Banker, company executives say they intend to focus much of their efforts on recruiting top Spanish-speaking talent to the company.

?The Hispanic market is growing and more members of the Hispanic community are trying to bring the American Dream of homeownership to reality,? said Avram Goldman, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in the San Francisco Bay Area. ?While right now 10 percent of our sales associates are Spanish speaking, we feel that in order to continue to meet the demands of this growing market and effectively service all of our Spanish speaking clients, we must recruit bilingual sales associates who possess the same high level of standards that our already talented sales force has.
