RISMEDIA, Feb. 1, 2007-Allen Tate Realtors(R), one of the nation's largest independent real estate companies, has expanded into the Research Triangle. The firm will open the first of several offices in the Triangle at 3201 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh.
In addition, the company has hired real estate veteran Phyllis York Brookshire to head its Triangle operations as a regional vice president.
"The Research Triangle region is recognized nationally as one of the most vibrant and desirable areas in which to live, and Allen Tate is delighted to be moving into the neighborhood," said Pat Riley, Allen Tate president and chief operating officer. "And to say we're excited to welcome someone of Phyllis' skills, talent and reputation to the Allen Tate leadership team would be an understatement, indeed. Phyllis' hands-on knowledge of the Triangle market and unmatched experience as a real estate leader will prove invaluable to us as we build our Triangle operations."
Riley said that Allen Tate plans in the coming months to open multiple offices throughout the greater Triangle region, and the firm will be announcing leadership, relocation, mortgage and insurance experts and Realtors.
Headquartered in Charlotte, Allen Tate Realtors has more than 40 offices throughout North Carolina and South Carolina with annual sales of approximately $6.78 billion. Allen Tate Realtors is the largest independent residential real estate firm in the Carolinas with more than 1,600 real estate professionals throughout the two states.
Riley said the Triangle operation will offer the full range of Allen Tate's real estate services, including Allen Tate Mortgage, Allen Tate Insurance, Allen Tate Relocation Services, Commonwealth Title and HomeTrust Warranty. Additionally, Allen Tate offers prelicensing and broker courses coupled with ongoing professional development. The company is a founding member of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (formerly RELO(R) Network), which consists of premier independently owned and operated real estate firms in America and across the globe. The network leads in the country's top 500 real estate firms for 2006 home sales, with more sales than any national franchise.
"As the leading real estate company in the Carolinas, Allen Tate is truly a one-stop shop with choices complemented by legendary customer service," said Brookshire. "I have long admired the company's unique business model that benefits both clients and Realtors, and I look forward to helping build the company's Triangle presence in years ahead."
In addition to serving as a director of the N.C. Association of Realtors, Brookshire is currently president of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. A Morehead Scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill, she helped establish the residential division of York Properties and served for three years as assistant general manager of York Simpson Underwood before being named chief operating officer in 2004. Brookshire is also involved in several civic organizations, including serving as chair of the board of advisers for the JC Raulston Arboretum at N.C. State University.
"As an independent broker, we're able to bring a higher level of service and quality to every real estate transaction," said Riley. "Our Realtors are among the most knowledgeable in the industry, and as a company, we rank fifth among America's top 50 brokers for productivity according to the latest RIS Media Power Broker Survey."
