RISMEDIA, March 8, 2007-Realogy Corporation, announced that two of its companies have been recognized among the Top 125 companies for "employee-sponsored workforce training and development" as determined by Training magazine. For the sixth consecutive year, both Cartus Corporation (61st place) and Century 21 Real Estate LLC (119th) have been honored with this distinction.
"Realogy Corporation continues to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to training and development," said Joyceann Cooney-Garippa, publishing director of Training magazine. "With multiple honorees recognized year after year, Realogy is clearly dedicated to enhancing its offerings and improving business results."
Cartus earned recognition by Training Magazine for its innovative training platform, which includes "Certified Agent Advantage," a program leading to certification in skill sets critical to serving relocating employees. The blended learning program teaches agents how to adapt their successful
entrepreneurial talents to the exacting business practices of corporate and government relocation. Cartus Broker Network agents receiving certification performed measurably better than unaffiliated agents when supporting relocating employees in selling their current homes and purchasing new ones, as well as in marketing acquired inventory, leading to lower costs for clients.
"The training design allowed us to apply metrics to the program, demonstrating its effectiveness in meeting specific financial and service-oriented goals," said Lynette Wagner, director of global training and development, for Cartus. "Additionally, we saw certification as a way of creating value for agents, enabling them to further promote their expertise to current and potential clients, thereby increasing customer satisfaction."
Training Magazine recognized The Century 21® organizational learning department for its sales associate program, "CREATE 21." The program aims to help new agents obtain their first listing quickly. On average, Create 21 graduates close 21 percent more transactions and earn 28 percent more commissions during their first year than agents who do not participate in the training program. Blending instructor-led online seminars with self-study components, Create 21 also teaches agents the importance of creating robust marketing plans and maintaining significant visibility in their communities.
"Training and education are integral to our success as a real estate organization," said Tom Kunz, president and CEO, Century 21 Real Estate, LLC. "We pride ourselves on providing our sales associates with the top-notch training they need to lead the industry by offering unsurpassed customer service."
