RISMEDIA, June 29, 2007–The newly-launched Web site for the Rochester City-Wide Housing Market Study offers an online survey for residents, and information about an innovative effort to combine carefully collected market data with a full analysis of the City’s neighborhoods, finance environment and housing programs.

The survey results will be used along with a thorough market study, to prepare a set of recommendations that will guide future planning aimed at reinvigorating all of Rochester’s neighborhoods.

The City-Wide Housing Market Analysis represents the first phase of this study. The Analysis is broken into five sections, each of which can be viewed and downloaded from the Web site.

In addition to the online resident survey, the Web site offers several sections including:

- Interactive maps featuring 16 themes — from changes in sales prices to code violations for the city of Rochester;
- A photo gallery of Rochester neighborhoods, including historic photos of the city; and
- Links to each of Rochester’s neighborhood organizations.

“This site is designed to provide information about the city-wide housing market study currently underway,” said Mayor Robert J. Duffy. “The study will help inform my administration and City Council in future housing policy and investment decisions.”

The Web site also follows Section 508 Guidelines, making the Web site available to those with disabilities.
