RISMEDIA, August 9, 2007–IMT Residential, a Sherman Oaks, California-based private full-service multifamily housing operator, has announced that it has added Resident Portal to its existing MRI software, a leading property management solution offered by Intuit Real Estate Solutions (IRES). IRES, a division of Intuit Inc., (Nasdaq: INTU) provides property management and accounting software solutions to the global real estate industry.
New Solution Provides Competitive Advantage
IMT currently manages over 16,000 residential units and 45 properties in four U.S. states. They were looking for a solution as part of their technology revamp. IRES was able to fill a critical component from a technology standpoint.
“We looked at numerous solutions in the market today, and chose IRES’ Resident Portal for its robust features,” explained Joseph Elhabr, Vice President at IMT Residential.
“We wanted to streamline our collections process,” explained Elhabr. With the IRES solution, residents can make their payments online. This speeds up the payment process for IMT and also gives residents more flexibility.
“This gives us a competitive advantage in the marketplace,” he added.
“We were also impressed that the information we would be accessing would be in real time. We are currently running MRI Residential and looked at other solutions to integrate with it. We discovered other solutions we studied were able to tap into the data, but not in real time. With IRES’ Resident Portal, instantaneous information is available and we will always know the data we are looking at is as current as possible.”
Another unique feature that drew IMT to IRES’ Resident Portal was the ability to track service requests. Other solutions in the marketplace allow you to enter requests, but IRES’ solution takes it a step further and allows you to track them as well. This ability will cut down on administrative time and improve the quality of service residents will receive.
