Hayes Named Senior Vice President, Region Manager for Stewart Title Guaranty Co., Group President for Stewart Title Co.

RISMEDIA, August 22, 2007—Title industry veteran Harold C. (Harry) Hayes has been named senior vice president, region manager for Stewart Title Guaranty Co. and group president for Stewart Title Co.

Stewart Title Guaranty Co. and Stewart Title Co. are wholly owned subsidiaries of Stewart Information Services Corp.

Hayes will serve over Stewart region H covering the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia, in addition to the District of Columbia.

“Harry is an energetic title and underwriting expert with well-recognized leadership skills,” said Stewart Morris Jr., president and co-chief executive officer, Stewart Information Services Corp. “This ability will greatly benefit region H, the region with the largest collection of independent agencies in the company and approximately 35 affiliates.”

Hayes has more than 25 years in the title industry, having served as senior underwriting counsel in four of the largest national title insurance companies. He has been with Stewart for almost 15 years and had been serving as New Jersey/Pennsylvania agency services manager and senior underwriting counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Co.

A graduate of Rutgers University and Rutgers University School of Law, Hayes is a past-president of the New Jersey Land Title Association. He has served as state contributing counsel to the American Land Title Association (ALTA) title counsel committee and as a member of the ALTA claims administration committee.

Hayes is a member of the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Bar Associations. He has been a lecturer and panelist for both the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
