Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. Announces Volunteer Grant Winners

RISMEDIA, August 22, 2007—Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc.has announced network members who received the 2007 Prudential CARES Volunteer Grant.
 
Six individuals each received grants of $5,000 from The Prudential Foundation for the nonprofit organizations for which they volunteer. The minimum time requirement is 40 hours, per individual, of volunteer service during the past calendar year.
 
The Prudential Real Estate winners, and the nonprofits they support, are:

Lisa Eisenhauer, Prudential Discover Real Estate, for the Gates (N.Y.) Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc. Eisenhauer volunteers twice a week as an emergency medical technician. She also sits on its board of directors and teaches CPR classes.

Ann Eschenfelder, Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors®, for Habitat for Humanity, Inc., Northwest Harris County (Texas). Eschenfelder volunteers 30 hours a month on the board of directors, is chair of the fundraising committee and builds homes as her way of giving back to her community.

Kitty Flynn, Prudential Fezler & Russell Real Estate, Inc., for the American Cancer Society, Florida. As a cancer survivor, Flynn looks forward to the day when her grandchildren can say she overcame a disease that used to be life threatening. She sits on the board of directors as well as many committees and works with patient services.

Carole Jackson Thompson, Prudential California Realty, for the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton (Calif.) Inc. As a board member, Thompson helps with business operation and fund-raising, working more than 300 hours in six months alone. Her efforts in fund-raising events have helped to raise $300,000

Susan Stearns, Prudential California Realty, for the San Fernando Valley (Calif.) Association for the Retarded Inc., New Horizons. Since 1985, Stearns has volunteered for New Horizons, which provides vocational training for those with developmental disabilities. She is in charge of raising $500,000 each year as the development committee chairwoman.

Arthur Wheeler, Prudential Fox & Roach, REALTORS®, for Habitat for Humanity, Inc., Philadelphia. In addition to building homes and fund-raising, Wheeler is on the steering committee for the “Build a House, Build a Dream” contest for children.

Laurie Keenan, president of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., said, “Prudential Real Estate Network members value community involvement. We are proud to support our affiliates with their volunteer endeavors and commitment to making a difference where they live and work. This program is a way to recognize our affiliates while providing their nonprofit organizations with a monetary grant.”
 
A total of 619 Prudential Financial employees worldwide received $460,750 in grants. More than $9.6 million has been donated since the program began in 1991.
