RISMEDIA, September 10, 2007–RE/MAX International, which according to the company, holds number one market share in home listings sold in Philadelphia, has increased its presence in the area with the conversion of Century 21 Boland Realty Corporation. The brokerage, which will be renamed RE/MAX City and Suburban, is owned by Charles Boland, a Realtor with more than 40 years experience in Philadelphia.

RE/MAX City and Suburban will continue to be located at 6701 Roosevelt Boulevard and will have nearly 50 affiliated agents. Last year, the firm closed more than $41 million in residential and commercial sales.”We are thrilled to have Charles, his sales team and his support staff join the RE/MAX organization,” said Sara Levine, regional vice president of RE/MAX Pennsylvania and Delaware. “Charlie has an excellent reputation in the real estate community and his office will enhance our already solid position in the marketplace.”

Boland, who has served as president of the N.E. Philadelphia Realty Board and has taught numerous real estate courses, said technology support services and education programs were major factors in his decision to convert to RE/MAX. “RE/MAX has the most visited web site of any real estate brand and its innovative lead generation system quickly connects agents with buyers and sellers. The RE/MAX referral network is very impressive and will be a huge benefit to our agents.” said Boland.

“In terms of education, RE/MAX is ahead of the curve. RE/MAX University is a multi-media approach to education that allows agents to take advanced courses on-line or via satellite television, at home or at the office, in addition to numerous on-site education events. No other real estate network has a higher percentage of affiliates with designations than RE/MAX. At a time when consumers are demanding more from their agents, this will give us a significant competitive advantage.”

Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Denver, the RE/MAX International network reaches more than 65 countries with over 120,000 sales associates, including nearly 700 in Philadelphia. In addition to Philadelphia, RE/MAX has number one market share in listings sold in Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and numerous other markets. It is also number one in market share in the entire state of Delaware. No other real estate network in the world sells more homes.
