The GSA, a U.S. federal government agency, manages and facilitates many workplace essentials for government workers, such as providing office space and coordinating housing, transportation and technology logistics for these employees.The five-year contract with Oakwood was awarded on July 27 to service United States locations and includes three renewable five-year options. According to the GSA, the government spends more than $390 million in housing services annually. Oakwood estimates that the contract is valued at $5 million in annual sales.
As a GSA schedule vendor, Oakwood can procure furnished and unfurnished corporate housing for the U.S. government and all its federal departments and agencies, the Senate and the House of Representatives, U.S. territories, as well as international organizations, tribal organizations, and mixed-ownership government corporations.
