RISMEDIA, Sept. 20, 2007-Five years ago, if you had asked Pierre King if he saw a future in real estate, he probably would have said no. But after working in the fast-paced realm of Wall Street, he later found himself up for a challenge and most importantly, a change-using his accounting and finance background. Fast forward to 2007, King has been in the industry for a mere two years, and now he can’t fathom his future anywhere else than as the top producer for Weichert Realtors HP Greenfield in Brooklyn, New York.
For King, real estate was a natural fit, but within his first year in the industry, he got word of something that could make him more valuable as a Realtor. After attending an industry convention, King discovered that eNeighborhoods offered the opportunity to do just that-enhance his community knowledge for his clients.
“I gave it a try and have been using it ever since,” says King. “It has worked miracles for me.”
As one of 75 agents working for Weichert Realtors HP Greenfield, eNeighborhoods has been the secret to growing King’s business, helping him to receive exclusive listings.
“My clients are very surprised with the amount of work I put into the preparation of my listing presentation. eNeighborhoods provides graphs, information on how to sell the property, the advantages of having professional assistance in selling the property and more.”
eNeighborhoods compiles home and neighborhood information, allowing real estate professionals like King to create comprehensive, personalized marketing and listing presentations and tools to present buyers and sellers with current, localized information about properties, neighborhoods and schools. Through eNeighborhoods, agents can also create CMAs, BuyerTours, personalized Web sites, flyers and personalized maps with aerials. King believes that when clients feel that an agent has done a lot of work specifically for them, that agent stands out in the client’s mind.
“Once you have done so much work just to get out there and present it to them, [they know] you will put a lot of work into getting the house sold,” King says.
Once King receives client information, he enters it into his eNeighborhoods PowerSuite. A Neighborhood Report is then generated from the information provided, with features like comparative analysis, maps, graphs, schools, home values, crime rates, cost-of-living and other demographics. King then prints the report and presents this information in person, or he can have the same information e-mailed or linked to a Web site.
What’s more, eNeighborhoods subscribers can participate in free online training to stay in the know with the product and listing information.
“It’s user friendly. I take the Internet workshops and training sessions at least once per week; they’re constantly making improvements,” says King.
“eNeighborhoods has made it much, much easier for me compared to other agents in the office,” says King. “It allows me to go out there and get a higher percentage in terms of commission because it shows what a Realtor has to do in order to get the house sold. My colleagues are bringing in three to four percent but I always bring in six percent.”
While receiving maximum commission is King’s favorite benefit, he says it truly allows him to negotiate for the payment associated with his work. And his fellow Weichert Realtors HP are catching on.
“I haven’t found a product that has even matched eNeighborhoods,” says King. “Some agents in my office will definitely be willing to use eNeighborhoods in the future.”
And like his transition into real estate, King’s outlook on the product is simple. “We are very thankful for the product and the benefits eNeighborhoods provides to us. If you’re not using it, you’re losing out.”
