The Industry’s New Movement
An event long known for attracting the industry’s very best, RISMedia’s Leadership Conference-held last month in New York City-welcomed a record number of attendees and bore witness to a growing industry movement-the movement of real estate professionals preparing for action.
While there was much talk surrounding the difficulties posed by today’s market, there was also a mounting buzz. This was the buzz of real estate professionals ready to take action against the dark cloud hanging over the industry. Ready to do something-other than commiserate-in order to put their businesses back on the fast track. Our record attendance figures (more than 1,000) were a key indicator that there is a growing contingent of real estate professionals who are fed up with the negative messaging and ready to do something about it. Ready to learn and share new strategies, ready to retrain agents, ready to make new connections-ready to get back in the game despite the changes to today’s playing field.
This movement could also be seen in the Leadership Conference sessions that drew the most attendance: retraining agents for today’s market; succeeding with agent teams; getting back to the basics. It was standing room only for most of the topics that focused on hands-on strategies for getting listings and increasing sales.
You’ll find several topics in this month’s issue of the Power Broker Network Report, geared toward providing you with such hands-on strategies, from tips on working with new agents to finding new business through social media platforms. As leading brokers, we share this information with you so that you can in turn share it with your leadership team.
A huge thanks to the RISMedia staff who orchestrated one of our best events ever. And heartfelt thanks to all those who attended, sponsored and participated in the 18th Annual Leadership Conference. Thank you for being the “buzz” behind real estate’s movement toward the future.
Wishing you continued success,
