RISMEDIA, Oct. 11, 2007-Mortgage, insurance and real estate agents at Prudential Fox & Roach, a leading regional real estate agency in the Northeast, are using 900 ThinkPad notebook and ThinkCentre desktop PCs to accelerate their business in the office and in the field.

“Our Lenovo PCs provide us peace of mind that we have deployed the most innovative and secure computing solution available to support our complex business,” said William Friemann, vice president of Operations, Security and Compliance at Prudential Fox & Roach. “By decreasing system downtime as well as the time needed to obtain and file documents, our employees can increase their productivity and focus on providing excellent client service.”

According to the company, Prudential Fox & Roach selected ThinkPad notebooks for their reliability and security features. The notebooks’ roll cage and air-bag-like Active Protection System help protect the PC hard drive, offering increased durability for use in mobile environments. The PCs also include high-speed mobile broadband1 connectivity enabling employees to efficiently update property listings and relay contracts and other paperwork to the office. Together these features provide excellent functionality and durability for Prudential Fox & Roach’s agents who spend a majority of their time working out of their cars, visiting property sites and meeting with clients.

Complying with several federal and state anti-breach and privacy laws makes PC security essential. Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks offer iron-clad security with full disk encryption, which transforms and masks data coming in and out of the PC by using an additional mini processor in the drive, and Lenovo’s Client Security Solution, a hardware/software solution that manages passwords, encryption keys and fingerprint readers. These tools help ensure that customer credit reports, asset disclosures, bank account information and other highly sensitive information required for home ownership are kept safe.

Prudential Fox & Roach is also using Lenovo ThinkCentre desktops to provide its administrative staff and non-traveling agents with a leading computing solution. In some cases, these PCs are shared by multiple employees and are the cornerstone to several workers’ productivity. Prudential Fox & Roach relies on its ThinkCentre desktops to provide quick access to information and for easy manageability.
