RISMEDIA, Oct. 30, 2007-Apartments.com launched the Southern California Wildfires Resource Center within its site to help the estimated 500,000 homeless and displaced citizens in Southern California. The Resource Center provides valuable information to help individuals locate rental information or other wildfire relief resources quickly and easily.

Individuals can access the Apartments.com Southern California Wildfires Resource Center at www.apartments.com/socalwildfires.htm or from the Apartments.com homepage, http://www.apartments.com.

The Resource Center includes links to Apartments.com city pages in areas that have been identified as relief areas, including Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego. Visitors can also quickly access apartment rentals in other cities by clicking the “Search by other city/state” link. Furthermore, the site includes a listing of properties that have special discounts or other support for wildfire victims as well as general links to wildfire support and information.

“It is our goal to provide those impacted by the Southern California wildfires direct and easy access to rental community information, and hopefully relieve some of the devastation they are feeling right now,” said Kevin Doyle, senior vice president and general manager of Apartments.com. “Individuals can use this one-page resource center to locate apartments and find some ease and comfort surrounding this tragic situation.” Apartments.com allows its visitors to conduct a free search of properties throughout the United States without registering for the site or providing any personal information to conduct a search.

At any given time, Apartments.com estimates that renters can view rental information for more than three million available units from managed properties, private landlords and newspaper classifieds.
