Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Appoints Chief Operating Officer

RISMEDIA, Nov. 9, 2007-Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC announced that Nicolai Kolding will serve as its chief operating officer. In this role, Kolding will oversee the new brand’s global service platform, internal operations, and overall strategic positioning. Kolding joins the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand with a decade of experience with the Company’s corporate parent, Realogy Corporation, where he directed mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic growth activities in the U.S. and abroad. Kolding will begin transitioning to his new role effective immediately and will report to Sherry A. Chris, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC. The new brand will launch its franchise system in the residential real estate marketplace in July 2008 as announced by Realogy in October.

Previously, Kolding served as senior vice president of strategic development for Realogy. His department was responsible for the valuation and negotiations of various investments for each of Realogy’s four business units – NRT LLC, Realogy Franchise Group, Title Resource Group, and Cartus. Having served as a financial analyst in the retail sector until 1998, Kolding began with Realogy through its subsidiary, NRT. Kolding served NRT in several capacities of increasing leadership within the acquisitions department where he personally negotiated with nearly 1,000 companies and closed over 175 transactions.

Kolding’s strategic roles at NRT and Realogy have required the evaluation of hundreds of new market initiatives and revenue sources including companies involved in residential real estate, title, mortgage and escrow services, real estate schools, property management services, commercial real estate, and international opportunities.

A recognized expert in mergers and acquisitions and operational analysis, Kolding has been a speaker at numerous industry conferences including engagements with the National Association of REALTORS®, REALTrends Gathering of Eagles, the Real Estate Educators Association and other international gatherings of top real estate professionals. Kolding is a graduate of Lehigh University.
