(MRIS, Dec. 17, 2007)–We’re listening! And we’ve got answers for your most frequently asked questions.
1.) What if I haven’t gotten my token yet?
Tokens are currently being mailed in batches of 6,000 per business day to subscribers’ home addresses. You should receive your token no later than January 7. If you haven’t received one by then, the MRIS Helpdesk will be happy to assist you.
2.) I haven’t gotten my token; how can I log in?
The Secure Login screen that all subscribers will be directed to effective December 19 offers you the option to login the “Traditional” way, as you do now. Login won’t be restricted to token-only until all customers have received their tokens and had ample time to enroll them. Until then, a transitional period will give you a chance to adjust to the new method.
3.) I have enrolled my token and I can’t remember how to login with it.
On the Secure login screen, use the “MRIS Secure Login” option on the left side of the screen. Type your MRIS ID, the PIN that you selected when you enrolled your token, press and release the gray button on your token and type the password that it displays.
Click the LOGIN button and you’re all set.
4.) What if I enrolled my token, but forgot it today?
During the implementation transitional period, you will have the option to use the Traditional login with your MRIS ID and PIN (the PIN replaced your old password, once you enrolled your token). SEE TRANSITIONAL PERIOD REFERENCE IN #2 ABOVE
5.) What do I do if I forgot my PIN?
Click FORGOT MY PIN on the Secure Login screen and a new PIN will be sent to you immediately via email. Check your email for the new PIN.
6.) How can I change my PIN?
Click CHANGE MY PIN and change it to your favorite four digit number.
7.) What if I lose my token?
Click REPORT A LOST OR BROKEN TOKEN and a new one will be mailed to you. You will also immediately receive an e-mail containing a temporary PIN and password good for 7 days.
8.) What if my token breaks?
Click REPORT A LOST OR BROKEN TOKEN and a new token will be mailed to you along with a stamped return envelope for your broken token. You will also immediately receive an email containing a temporary PIN and password good for 7 days
9.) I attempted to login with my token and got a message that I am “attack locked.”
That means that you have tried to authenticate unsuccessfully 5 times in a row. WAIT 2 minutes, then authenticate by pressing and releasing the gray button on your token once again. Type the token password along with your User ID and password and you’ll be all set.. That successful login will reset the attack lock.
10.) I tried to login but got a message, “Failed to authenticate, please try again.” What do I do?
Do exactly that: type you User ID, and PIN, then press and release the gray button on your token and type the password it displays.
11.) My token button got pressed several times in row by accident, then when I tried to login, it doesn’t authenticate.
Try one more time: the next password that you retrieve will be authenticated.
