RISMEDIA, March 1, 2007-RE/MAX International announced that it is acquiring the independently owned regional operation of RE/MAX of California & Hawaii. As a result, Adam Contos, who has served as regional director of RE/MAX Mountain States since 2005, has been named regional director at RE/MAX of California & Hawaii and Rob Terranova has been appointed regional director of the RE/MAX Mountain States region. The new positions are effective immediately.
The Mountain States region includes more than 4,500 sales associates in 177 offices throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota and South Dakota.
"We are pleased that Adam and Rob will now be in charge of these regions," said Margaret Kelly, RE/MAX chief executive officer. "Certainly, they have proven their leadership abilities and have earned these important positions at the head of two of our key company operated regions."
In 2003, Contos was an independent contractor and joined RE/MAX in 2004 as a franchise development consultant in the Mountain States region. Contos served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1990 until 1996 followed by a career in law enforcement in Colorado.
Terranova joined the RE/MAX organization in 2004 as a franchise development consultant in the RE/MAX Southwest region. He was promoted to senior franchise development consultant in 2005 and most recently served as assistant regional director in 2006. Prior to his affiliation with RE/MAX, Terranova spent 14 years in various positions in law enforcement including being a lead instructor, investigator and supervisor.
