Vast.com Acquires Adaptive Real Estate Services

RISMEDIA, Jan. 11, 2008-Vertical search company Vast.com^TM announced it has acquired the technology and assets and retained the engineering expertise of Adaptive Real Estate Services LLC (ARES), a California-based provider of full-featured, hosted Web sites for real estate agents and brokers.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ARES provides real estate agents and brokers with fully-managed, MLS-compliant, customizable Web sites. According to the company, Vast.com will add its proven search and optimization platform to ARES’ offering, enabling brokers to better serve their prospects with fast, intelligent matches to currently for-sale MLS listings. The solution will be offered within Vast.com’s Vast Web Solutions product suite: www.vastWebsolutions.com.

The acquisition of ARES enables Vast Web Solutions to continue to serve 60 MLS’s (over 1.3 million listings) to over 300 existing ARES customers. Current ARES users will benefit from enhanced functionality provided by Vast.com, including faceted search, instant drill-down, and sub-second response times. Their service will continue uninterrupted.
