RISMEDIA, Feb. 22, 2008–If you listen to the news lately, you’d think the real estate market was taking a nose dive toward disaster. While it’s true that increased foreclosures in some markets and the subprime crisis are certainly serious problems for many, other markets are doing better than expected. But even with that, the reality is that the high times of just 18 months ago are gone, and many real estate agents are struggling to stay profitable in these tougher times.
To better prepare agents and brokers for success in today’s changing market, RISMedia will be focusing on this subject at its 3rd Annual Power Broker Forum during the NAR Midyear Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C. This business development panel discussion is titled, “How to Survive & Profit in Today’s Tougher Market,” and will include several high-level industry executives, including:
Moderators:
John Featherston, President & CEO, RISMedia
Ed Krafchow, President, Prudential CA/NV/TX Realty
Panelists:
Mike Brodie, Broker/Owner, Keller Williams Realty, and EVP, Keller Williams Realty Int’l
Peter Hunt, President & CEO, Hunt Real Estate Corp.
Bob Peltier, President, Edina Realty
Kate Rossi, President & CEO, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage-Westchester & Connecticut
The Forum will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. and is open to all NAR day-conference and full-conference attendees. Talking points will include: cost cutting, restructuring and retention issues. A reception will follow from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Last year, the Power Broker Forum at NAR Midyear hosted more than 500 attendees, making the Forum standing-room only.
