RISMEDIA, March 10, 2008-Environmental Data Resources Inc. (EDR) has been recognized with a 2007 Business Achievement Award from Environmental Business International (EBI) for its development of the PARCEL platform, a web-based management system for environmental professionals to write, review, assemble and deliver environmental assessments.
With increased pressure to decrease turnaround times, all due diligence professionals have a growing need for cutting-edge technology. EDR’s PARCEL platform was recognized for streamlining the real estate environmental due diligence process by making it significantly easier to integrate environmental content into report authoring and management. EDR’s PARCEL platform automates many of the administrative tasks associated with delivering a due diligence report so that environmental professionals can focus on providing real value through their professional opinions.
The web-based service was bestowed the Business Achievement Award in the Information Technology category by a panel of editors from EBI’s Environmental Business Journal .This is EDR’s third Business Achievement Award from EBI in as many years. EDR was awarded an IT Merit award in 2005 for its efforts to educate the environmental marketplace about the then-new federal environmental regulation known as the All Appropriate Inquiry rule. Last year EDR was recognized for the development of EDR OnDemandTM, the first service of its kind to offer instant access to customized environmental reports culled from its industry-leading environmental records database.
“EDR is excited to be continually recognized for the work we do to streamline the environmental due diligence process,” said EDR CEO Rob Barber. “Our close work with our clients has allowed us to continually develop PARCEL into in invaluable tool that increases the quality of the due diligence reports while decreasing the turn-around time.”
The Environmental Business Journal has been published since 1988 by EBI, a publisher of newsletters and comprehensive business reports that provide strategic information to business leaders. Each year EBI recognizes and awards companies and executives that outperform in the environmental market.
