RISMEDIA, March 21, 2008-According to the latest Multiple Listing Service (MLS) report, the median sales price for homes in Central Texas grew 2% in February. Single-family home sales were 10% lower than during the same period in 2007.
February 2008 single-family home sales totaled 1,553, a 10% decrease from last year. The median price of single-family properties rose 2% to $180,000.
Altogether, single-family property sales contributed $363,905,172 to the local economy last month, a decrease of 10% from the previous year. These properties sat on the market for an average of 75 days. The number of active listings in February was 9,127.
