Century 21 Declares April as National Open House Month

RISMEDIA, March 27, 2008-In an ongoing effort to help improve lagging consumer confidence in the real estate industry and further position its brand and real estate agents as professional champions, Century 21 Real Estate LLC announced April as CENTURY 21(r) National Open House Month. Participating Century 21 offices across the country are expected to hold an estimated 100,000 open house events during the month of April.

“Housing market fundamentals including interest rates, employment, income increases and housing inventory remain favorable despite much of the negative media attention that the real estate industry has earned recently, but what is missing in the current market is consumer confidence,” said Tom Kunz, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “Consumers who are contemplating a move, but are uncertain about whether now is the right time owe it to themselves to at least explore the possibilities. That is what our Open House Month is all about.”

The Century 21 System will support and promote April as Century 21 National Open House Month with an aggressive multimedia marketing campaign that will leverage national television, radio, Internet and print media channels. Participating Century 21 brokers and agents will be able to leverage local marketing tools and templates that align with the national creative while providing details of individual open house events. The common theme throughout the campaign is the notion of the Century 21 agent as a professional champion to the consumer and is uniquely positioned to help them navigate the “golden path” home.

By declaring April as its National Open House Month, the Century 21 System intends to encourage consumers to have open dialogue with a Century 21 real estate professional about their individual needs and unique financial situations. The Century 21 System is airing a new 15-second television commercial promoting April as National Open House Month that started in mid-March and will run through April across prime and cable television channels.

“Now more than ever, the Century 21 agent stands as the consumer’s professional champion through every step of what most likely is their most significant financial and emotional asset: their home,” said Bev Thorne, senior vice president of marketing for Century 21 Real Estate LLC.
