RISMEDIA, April 25, 2008-Managing Partners of Prudential Preferred PropertiesCRE, David E. Hanna and William E. White, announce the merger of four Prudential Real Estate companies, Prudential Preferred PropertiesCRE, Prudential L.T. Blount Realtors®, Prudential Clark & Holm Real Estate, and Prudential SourceOne Realty. The four companies will now operate as Prudential SourceOne Realty and serve the greater Chicago, Hinsdale, Palos Park, Downers Grove and St. Charles-Fox Valley areas.

Prudential Preferred PropertiesCRE has operated in Chicago and the West Suburbs under the leadership of Hanna and White. Hanna and White will now be managing partners and owners of the new, larger Prudential SourceOne entity. The five branch offices will continue to provide full-service residential and commercial real estate services under the Prudential SourceOne Realty brand.

“We’re extremely excited to make this announcement,” says David E. Hanna, Prudential SourceOne Realty CEO/Managing Partner and President-Elect of the Chicago Association of Realtors®. “We’ve combined incredible local talent. Our companies have long shared a strong, energetic affiliate-company bond, and we’re seeing great synergy among our newly-expanded family of sales associates and staff.”

“We knew that combining our resources and skill sets would better the collective whole.” said William E. White, CFO/Managing Partner of Prudential SourceOne Realty and President of the Midwest Real Estate Data Services (MRED) listing service for Northern Illinois. “Our offices will each retain their local service strengths and culture, yet still be able to leverage the Prudential home-marketing technologies and Online AdvantageSM that support and enhance the services for our clients.”

According to the company, Prudential L.T. Blount Realtors has roots dating back to 1906. Russell L. Blount built many of the Walter Burleigh Griffen grand, split-timbered homes in Chicago’s Beverly area. Many of the homes are now on the Historical Register. Lauren T. Blount developed several subdivisions in what is now Palos Park. The family-operated real estate business began as Blount Bros. in the early 1950′s and later became L.T. Blount Realtors. Douglass, Alan and Dorothy Blount have been involved in the business since 1970. L.T. Blount Realtors became a Prudential Real Estate franchisee in 1994.

Prudential Clark & Holm Real Estate has been in business for more than 50 years, serving Chicago and the west/southwest suburbs. In April of 1998, Clark & Holm Real Estate announced its new affiliation with the Prudential Real Estate Network and became known as Prudential Clark & Holm Real Estate. Debbie Ocepek Romanski has been the owner and driving force behind the company’s success. Romanski is best known for her relocation service expertise, working with transferee clients. Romanski has twice won the Gordon Brown Broker of the Year Award and numerous relocation awards.

Ray Shafer opened SourceOne Realty in Saint Charles, Illinois in 1999. SourceOne Realty became become a Prudential Real Estate affiliate later that same year. Shafer’s reputation and keen business skills quickly built SourceOne Realty into a successful business in a relatively short period of time. Ray Shafer owns and operates a growing home building company, Michael Raymond Custom Homes, specializing in new construction homes and remodeling in the greater Saint Charles / Fox Valley area and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
