My Dog Ate My Token!

MRIS, May 12, 2008-If an unforeseen event happens such as losing a token occurs, we have you covered. Once tokens are enrolled, if a token is broken or lost the SAFEMLS® system keeps you in business.

On the Secure Login screen there is a link to report a broken or lost token. A broken or lost token should be reported immediately. The steps are easy:

- Click the link Report a broken or lost token
- Enter your MRIS ID on the next screen
- Click the button that either says I lost my authenticator or My Authenticator is broken whichever applies.
- Answer the three secret questions you answered when enrolling your token
- If the token is reported broken, there will be a pull down menu to tell MRIS the reason.
Click the Next button

Several things will happen:

- The token is disabled so if lost no one else could use it
- MRIS automatically mails you a new token which you will receive within seven days

The SAFEMLS® system will immediately e-mail you an emergency temporary PIN / Password to use during those seven days until the token arrives. This e-mail goes to your private e-mail address on file with MRIS. Always keep that email up to date through the My Account screen on www.mris.com. If you do not receive this email please call the Helpdesk for assistance.

Broken tokens need to be returned to MRIS. There will be a pre-stamped, self-addressed envelope included with your new token so you can mail the broken token back to MRIS.
