Are You Sure ‘You’ve Got Mail’?

MRIS, May 19, 2008-Did you know that some e-mail does not go to your inbox? There are many reasons for this. Spam filters you choose with the e-mail provider you have, software you have installed on your computer all could be ‘filtering’ out or blocking e-mails that could be important to your business.

With Secure Login, there are some self help tools that come along with the SAFEMLS® token. When you enroll your token, you will choose a new four digit PIN number to use with your MRIS User ID and SAFEMLS generated password. There are two self help tools if you wish to change your PIN number and if you forget your PIN number. You no longer need to call the Helpdesk to access this information. Your PIN can be emailed to you immediately from the SAFEMLS server when you follow the steps for Change PIN or Forgot PIN. These links will appear on the Secure Login Screen.

When reporting a lost or broken token on the SAFEMLS server, you will also be e-mailed immediately a temporary PIN/Password to use until you receive the replacement token in the mail so you can still access the systems you rely on for your business.

For now, the important step you need to take when using these functions is to check your spam filter or bulk filter for emails being blocked in your email account. When accessing the Change Your PIN, Forgot PIN, Lost/Broken Token links, please check your inbox but also check any Spam/Bulk filtered boxes too. The e-mail you receive will be from safemls@mris.net. Make sure that your private email address on file with MRIS is up to date and current to take advantage of this feature of the SAFEMLS system.
