RISMEDIA, May 21, 2008-In promotion of homeownership and home education in Georgia, PEMCO, Ltd., will host a Metro Atlanta HUD Home Bus Tour and homebuyer education program Saturday, June 7.
PEMCO, Ltd, who is contracted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to manage the HUD Sales Process in Georgia, will present the program in efforts to promote statewide homeownership and showcase various homes owned by HUD.
There are so many preconceptions about HUD-owned, as-is or foreclosed homes, according to PEMCO Vice President Kimiko Yamamoto. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to educate would-be buyers on the truths of the matter regarding the HUD Home Sales Process in Georgia, including that buyers have full – and free – access to HUD’s listing site for the state – and all the while, being able to show buyers that HUD Homes are not low-end housing!”
For the day’s event, the coach bus tour will take attendees to walk through several HUD-owned homes in the metro area while industry professionals will present en route information about the HUD home buying and bidding process, FHA Loans, HUD’s $100 Down Incentive, how to qualify for different down payment assistance programs and loans, how to insure and inspect a new home, and many other relevant home buying topics.
The daylong education event will begin at 9 a.m. and registration is required. The fee for attendees is $15. Those interested in attending the event should register on PEMCO’s website, www.hudpemco.com or call PEMCO’s Marketing and Outreach Department at 404-995-7136 for more information.
PEMCO, Ltd. serves as the Marketing and Management Contractor to HUD in Georgia, California, Hawaii, Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands.
