RISMEDIA, June 26, 2008-Richard Allen, loan officer with Metrocities Mortgage, has launched “The Orphans Helping Hand Program,” creating mortgages to help homeowners tap their equity to finance adoptions.
“Many people are eager to adopt but are held back by one thing: the cost,” said Allen, a 25-year veteran of the mortgage and real estate industries. “Home equity is a store of wealth. Properly used, it can fund the dream of adoption.”
The Orphans Helping Hand Program begins with a consultation between Allen and families planning to adopt. He determines available home equity compared to adoption costs, and establishes a borrower’s ability to qualify for a loan based on factors such as income, debt load, credit history, and future considerations. Allen offers a broad array of refinance programs coupled with bundled services, sophisticated analysis tools, and government- sponsored programs.
“The goal is to make adoption affordable and a reality,” according to Allen. “That means accessing needed funds while keeping monthly payments reasonable and taking advantage of potential tax breaks for mortgage interest and adoption expenses.”
The Orphan Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) based in Newbury Park, CA that provides financial support and information to adopting families, has endorsed “The Orphans Helping Hand Program.” Foundation Chairman Joe DiDonato has cited Richard Allen and Metrocities Mortgage as “committed to helping families find a way to financially afford adoption, and they are offering their corporate and individual expertise to make adoption a reality through ‘The Orphans Helping Hand Program.’”
“The Orphans Helping Hand Program” is available to homeowners across the country who are considering adoption or in the process of adoption and needs a helping hand.
