MRIS, July 14, 2008-The Matrix Cart is designed to allow you to create one set of results from multiple searches. Place the listings you want to use in the Cart and add more listings as you complete successive searches. Cart functionality eliminates the need to print, email or save search results before beginning another search. There is one cart for each property type. The search type, Cross Property has its own cart. Items in the cart can be saved, sorted, printed as a report or display, used in a CMA, stats created, exported, emailed, mapped and viewed in different display screens. Cart contents can be removed individually or the entire cart emptied. The maximum number of listings a cart can hold is 100 (for each cart). The listings remain in the cart until you remove them. You can save the listings in the cart.
Viewing Cart Contents
Click the Search Tab, each property type will indicate if a cart has been created and how many listings are currently in that individual cart. Clicking the Cart link next to a property type will show the contents of that individual cart. Users can have different carts for each property type including Cross Property searches.
Removing Cart Contents individually
Listings may be individually removed from the cart by selecting the listings and clicking the Remove Checked link. Selected listings will be removed from the cart.
Save a Cart
You may want to save the cart contents into your Saved/Automatic Searches in the My Matrix Tab. This will allow you to empty the cart, have it available, and begin collecting another set of listings. To save a cart’s contents; view cart contents by clicking the cart link either on the Search Tab screen or within a search results screen. Click Save, Name the search, click Save. Note: This type of saved search cannot be updated because there are no associated criteria (only listings). When you look at the listings in your cart, the listing information will be current.
Empty a Cart
From time to time you may need to empty the cart. View cart contents, click Empty at the top of the screen. A warning message will appear asking if you are sure you want to clear the cart. Click OK to the pop-up warning. You will see a Save button but there is nothing to save (Click any Tab to get out of screen).
Create a Map using the cart
This feature allows you to create a map with the listings in your cart. When completing a CMA, if the subject property has an MLS # (even an old one), search for that subject property from the Home Tab or use Quick Search (remember to unselect all statuses). Place the listing for the subject in your cart. Find the comparable properties that you wish to use and add them to your cart. Click Cart, select all and click the Map Button (lower right corner of search result screen). You now have a map displaying a pushpin for each property in your CMA (there is a print button at the bottom of the screen).
