RISMEDIA, July 10, 2008-Real Estate Staging Association (RESATM), the trade organization for professional home stagers announced their new Endorsement Program focusing on products and services related to the real estate and real estate staging industries. According to the association, the program has been developed in order to give consumers a sense of security knowing these products or services have been scrutinized by the Consumer Affairs Division of the Real Estate Staging Association, as a knowledgeable industry related third party.
Companies seeking the endorsement will follow an application process which includes mandatory compliance with all local, state and federal laws as well as insurance requirements and superior customer service polices. Products or services must also prove beneficial to consumers, professional stagers and the real estate industry.
The first product to apply and receive the RESA Endorsement is the Home Staging for Dummies book, published by Wiley and co-authored by Christine Rae, the CEO of the Certified Staging Professionals and Jan Saunders Maresh founder of Naked Room Solutions. According to the association, the book is a brilliantly written practical guide which explains the benefits of home staging in addition to giving real solutions to homeowners whether they are planning on selling a property or staging to live.
The first service to receive the RESA Endorsement is StagersList.com. StagersList is “The Resource for Stagers, Realtors and homeowner’s in North America.” StagersList.com is a place where stagers and homeowners come together to purchase new and used staging furnishings for their businesses and homes. StagersList mission is to help move the staging industry forward and their soon to be launched enhancements – Ask The Expert, Stager and vendor directory, Virtual Consignment Shop and Staging Expos being held around the country all contribute to that effort, according to the company.
