RISMEDIA, July 16, 2008-GMAC Global Relocation Services will offer a complimentary “Webinar” presentation exploring aspects of doing business and living in Poland. Titled “Understanding Poland,” the Webinar is on Thursday, July 17 at 11 a.m. Eastern time.

The one-hour Webinar will examine the cultural attributes of Poland, a nation of 35 million people, which became part of the European Union just four years ago. The Webinar will also discuss the challenges expatriates face when assimilating to life in Poland and beyond its major cities. This session will provide practical cultural information to meet the business needs of companies and individuals and will analyze the following issues and topics:

- Introduce common stereotypes and perceptions Polish nationals have of expatriates.
- Discuss the regional differences in basic business and social protocol “do’s and taboos.”
- Discuss Polish psycho-cultural differences such as character traits, core country values, behaviors, attitudes and ways of viewing the world.
- Suggest communication strategies for bridging cultural differences between personal, national and the target cultures. Making things even more complex for expatriates, the Polish language has seven cases, three genders and adjectives and nouns are inflected differently.

Participation in the Webinar is free and limited to the first 100 registrants. To register, click here.
