MRIS, July 28, 2008-When setting up a Saved Search for Auto E-mail, use the count link (located in the pale blue bar). The search must contain less than 250 listings in the initial search or you won’t be able to set up the auto e-mail.No need to type in a subject. There is a default subject that will automatically fill in the subject line.
Select the display you wish the receiver to see. Along with the listing information the icons; globe, camera, and movie reel will also be included.
You won’t need to type in a message. There is a default message that will fill in automatically for you. The default message will place the link for the listings above your e-mail signature. That makes the link easy to locate on the e-mail message screen.
The receiver of the Auto E-mail will receive New Listings, Changed Listings, and Missed Listings. The meaning of each of these are as follows:
New Listings include all listings that are new TO YOUR SEARCH as of the day the e-mail was sent. This includes any brand new listings that matched your criteria and listings that were updated in some way that made them a new match. Remember NEW does not mean new on the market.
Missed listings are best explained through an example: Let’s say your Auto E-mail finds a new or changed listing on July 10th, but you don’t have time to read the e-mail until July 15th. The possibility exists that the listing (which was new on July 10th) has already been taken off the market or changed in some way so that it no longer matches your criteria.
Changed listings have changed in some meaningful way since they were first sent to the client. This is change to any field that is included in the Search Criteria.
If at any time the listing search result is over 250 the e-mail will disable itself. The e-mail will also disable if the receiver doesn’t view for 45 days or if there are no listings to send out for 45 days. In addition, the receiver can unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail.
Auto E-mail is currently taught in the Matrix Xtra Class which is offered in hands on and online classrooms. To enroll in a class, log on to www.mris.com, hover over training, click class enrollment.
