Tech tool she can’t live without: Her BlackBerry

Thinking of family: Allen cooks for one entire day each month, and freezes healthy meals for her family, which allows them to eat at home even when she gets home late or is too tired to cook.

Allen entered real estate thinking it was a good way of staying in the workforce and balancing the demands of raising a child. Waving goodbye to what corporate America defined as a “family-friendly” company, she jumped-much to her own surprise, she says-into what she would find is the most challenging job of her life.
